First of all, it was so good to be warm.
Next Claude drove us to the weekly farmers' market in a nearby village.

We passed a lumberyard. These are beech.

The darker ones are oak for firewood.

There are many touring motorcycle group. Ils vont trop vites!

Here at the market we found cheeses, jewelry, books, tools and utensils, knives, and possibly Mel Gibson.
Afterwards we went to Thierry's house for an afternoon of lounging by the pool.

Here is my idea of the perfect lunch: fresh cheese from the fromagerie, fresh cold cuts from the charcuterie, fresh bread from the boulangerie, good French wine (sorry Californians, I am no longer a fan of yours), and great company in a beautiful location. Oh My Dog! The only thing that would have made it more perfect would have been if I spoke the language better. But, then, that's my fault, there's nothing perfect, and I will continue working on my French.

What a gorgeous experience. This is something unavailable to tourists. What a privilege I have had. I hope to be able to repay the favor some day.
